Meet Sylvester and Zig-Zag!
If you've been in the office, you've probably seen our cat Sylvester. He came to us in the spring of 2015 from a client that was feeding him as a stray. One of our technicians was planning on taking him home but he loved living at the clinic so he stuck around!
More recently in the winter of 2016 a black cat was found on 78th Street that had been hit by a car. He was barely alive but Dr. Burton saved him, fixing his broken leg and wiring his broken jaw. He has severe nerve damage in his front leg which is why he walks around on three now. During his long recovery everyone fell in love with him and he and Sylvester became best friends... so we convinced Dr. Burton to let us keep him!
They roam around the clinic during the day, introducing themselves to everyone. They're not intimidated by the largest of dogs... Sylvester will even sit in front of their cage doors and pester them! When cats come in they welcome them to the office, generally by climbing on top of their carriers. Sylvester loves to lay on the keyboards, printer, behind computers, and in any basket he can find. Zig-Zag enjoys walking on the receptionist's keyboards while they're typing, cuddling with Sylvester, and sleeping on the front counter.
Look for them when you're at the reception desk....they blend into the counter, so look closely!
